We have many customers who depend on this product to power homes in remote areas or in countries where power interruptions are a common occurrence. Some customers mount it on a trailer and take it to job sites or rent them out. Because of its rugged construction it is able to withstand rough handling and prolonged operation for commercial applications. You will notice it is designed on modular principles with many interchangeable components just like on a car permitting easy on-site service.

The enclosure is robust and highly corrosion resistant due to its zinc plated or stainless steel fasteners. The body is made from steel components that are treated with ant-rust paint that is powder coated. The fuel tank is located inside the base of the generator making it meet many local bylaws and since its enclosed behind a locked door fuel theft is of no concern.

Customers like the solid frame, canopy and doors. They are designed for easy access while further insulated with special acoustic material to maintain lower noise levels. Every door is lockable.

Control Panel

Generator panel includes an electronic smart generator controller. The purpose of the controller is to automatically start and stop the generator engine. It checks for generator status and reports back any fault conditions. The generator controller will automatically shut down the engine of a fault condition occurs such as low oil pressure, or for under or over engine speed limits. If you are lowing the RPM to switch to 50 Hz the user can select the change and prevent false alarm and use it on either system. The controller can also manage engine preheating functions if connected.

Large easy to read gauges for Voltage, Frequency and Amperage are easily viewed with lockable access door open or closed. Status lights also monitor and show presence of hydro mains and generator power conditions.

Other gauges indicate coolant temperature, oil pressure battery voltage and engine hour meter. The hour meter takes the guess work out of knowing when it is time to change the oil for example.

Very simple and easy to operate in either manual mode or fully automatic startup. Use it with the built in Transfer Switch or bypass it if you wish.

Automatic Transfer Switch

The built in 100 amp Transfer Switch is a control circuit that senses mains voltage. When utility power is interrupted, it starts up the generator, disconnects the load from the utility and connects it to the generator. It then continues to monitor mains voltage, and when it is restored, switches your household wiring from the generator back to the utility. When the generator is disconnected it normally goes into a cool-down process and then automatically shuts down. You can use your own transfer switch or bypass it if not required.

There are many ways to hook up to a generator if you do not wish to use the included automatic transfer switch.

Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR)

In addition to regulating the generator voltage, the AVR circuitry includes under-speed and sensing loss protection features. Excitation power is derived directly from the generator terminals. Positive voltage build up from residual levels is ensured by the use of efficient semiconductors in the power circuitry of the AVR.

The AVR is linked with the main stator windings and the exciter field windings to provide closed loop control of the output voltage with load regulation of +/- 1.0%.

In addition to being powered from the main stator, the AVR also derives a sample voltage from the output windings for voltage control purposes. In response to this sample voltage, the AVR controls the power fed to the exciter field, and hence the main field, to maintain the machine output voltage within the specified limits, compensating for load, speed, temperature and power factor of the generator.

A frequency measuring circuit continually monitors the generator output and provides output under-speed protection of the excitation system, by reducing the output voltage proportionally with speed below a pre-settable threshold. A manual adjustment is provided for factory setting of the under frequency roll off point, (UFRO). This can easily be changed to 50 or 60 Hz in the field by push-on link selection.
